Last fall. We’re just starting to get a color change here. Even northern Michigan, which should be (figuratively) aflame with colors by now, is still in early stage of change.

This particular photo was taken in suburban Detroit. However, even though it’s a big metropolitan area, you do see the occasional deer or even a coyote (like a small wolf). Most of my photos are taken a couple hundred miles north of Detroit. Some of the country is quite wild and you might see the deer’s larger cousins like elk and moose, as well as bears. There are wolves, too, but I’ve never actually seen one.

You’ve seen the bears?? Its such a huge place…..can get a bit scary hiking out but then I guess its a well taken care of place and many people like to spend time there so no issues!! Definitely gets mesmerising pictures!! 😀

I’ve only seen a bear once in Michigan (they’re more common in the national parks in western US and Canada). He or she just loped across the road well in front of me. Didn’t even stop so I could take a picture. How rude! 🙂
