Autumn is a great season around here, with the leaves changing from green to gold. Or sometimes to brilliant crimsons. Add in some warm sunshine, and an October day can be very pleasant indeed. 🙂
It was a special day. Early autumn, so all the trees were still green. But, I came upon this scene where the lower bushes had turned crimson. Autumn in Michigan is almost as good as summer. Almost. 🙂
We’ll be having spring here soon, I think. I like it when it rains at night with very heavy storm and maybe a bit of lightening☺☺ Trees here look same all through out the year, maybe except for very hot summers. But I love looking at pictures of beautiful yellow and orange leaves of the cold countries☺☺
Your comment reminds me of an English poem. “The wind was a torrent of darkness among the gusty trees/ The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas.” Now, about those colorful leaves, here’s another post for you, Mithai.
Thank you for sharing!!☺☺ Its truly amazing how passionately you read poems!!
In school days we had to memorise Loong poems and I didn’t like it very much but these days I love reading poems and appreciate its beauty ☺☺
You’re welcome. Glad you enjoyed. A long time ago, I heard this poem set to music, and I’ve really liked it ever since. You’re right–sometimes schooling takes the enjoyment out of learning. Good you “recovered.” 🙂
Amazing shot.

I really like the contrast between the black of the foreground and the vibrant colors in the rear.

Thanks and glad you enjoyed it. I was fortunate there was that vibrant color in early fall.

Yep aptly describes the kind of a thrilling adventurous night which one might choose to go on a mysterious quest!😊😊

It does sound inviting! The quest in this poem, while romantic, did not end well. “The Highwayman,” by Alfred Noyes.
