Photo Challenge, Focus: Curiosity Trumps Flight

Usually, a deer is a blur running away from you, a fleeting flicker disappearing into the woods.  But, fortunately, this doe’s curiosity stilled her urge to bolt,  and for a moment she stood out amidst the soft focus created by  dappled light.  Good fortune is the photographer’s best friend.

You’re right. The Bambi effect. Deer do have that appealing aspect that’s hard to put your finger on. Their curiosity surely is a part of it.
