Some body structures are conducive to wading…
Photo Challenge: Structure

Lake Huron, Michigan

Kensington Park, Michigan
and some are better for bolting at the first sign of danger…
while a few body structures befit those who have no need for speed or agility

near Matthaei Gardens, Michigan
These are fabulous … that deer is a stunning shot – the intense expression while it waits for instinct to set in – marvelous.

Thanks very much. The deer’s curiosity gave me enough time to take a couple good photos before she bolted into the woods. The one with the blue heron was another example of good fortune–I didn’t see the cresting wave until I got home and looked at this one again.

Thanks. Fortunate to click the shutter just as she turned to run.

DID WE HAVE TO HAVE A SNAKE? Just kidding. Great pictures and I love the story you told with them. Always looks like such and oasis where you wander. Have a nice weekend Tom.

Oasis, that’s a nice way of expressing it. I guess my favorite spots in Michigan are an oasis for the soul. I promise that’s the only picture I have, or intend to have, of a snake. Hope this finds you well.

The snake is scary! Is that a rattler?

Yes, it is. We have one species of rattlesnake in Michigan. First one I have seen.

Lake Huron is an expanse of blue stretching to the horizon. Lucky for me that the bird matches in color. 😉 My grandparents used to take me to this beach when I was a boy. Good memories here!
