beauty is subversive in the distemper of these times
Too Short a Date
To paraphrase the Bard, the Autumn of 2017 came with a lease that had too short a date. Colors were muted and leaves fell early, leaving Michiganders (yep, that’s a word) yearning for the kaleidoscope of oranges, gold, and reds that we are used to.
Oh dommage … that is such a shame. I guess it can’t always be sparkling but it is such a pity when Nature decides not to give that glittering hurrah before succumbing to the big freeze … Love the pictures though
Glad you enjoyed the pics. This has been a most unusual autumn. From what I’ve read, the muted colors were the result of a dry late summer. That itself is unusual since we in Michigan are surrounded by the Great Lakes. Better luck next year!
Sorry to know that autumn was not in full bloom this year in Michigan. However, in this part of the world, we are still enjoying autumnal beauty. 😇 probably for one more week…
You are right! 🙂 it’s warmer 30-32 degree during the day and 22-23 at night. But for us it’s cooler than summer and Less humidity than monsoon. So it’s more comfortable and greener surroundings and clear blue sky.
Now, you have made me envious. As I’ve gotten to enjoy summers more, I have less tolerance for winter. Maybe a visit to my brother in Arizona is in order.
Hahaha… Thanks! Do visit India sometime. In this hot and humid tropical weather, we crave for that cool winds of winter. Grass is always greener on the other side. 😉😁
Ahh….once you land here you’ll find a the silver lining yourself, especially if you travel to the places like Himalayan regions, Rajasthan, kerala and so on. ☺️

Enjoy it while you can! What are the temps for your autumn? Considerably warmer than here, I bet.

You have a talent for finding the silver lining in the cloud, Moon. 🙂 I’m vicariously feeling that 30 C. warmth.

Then, perhaps you can quench your craving when I post from chilly Michigan or Wisconsin this winter. As I said before, at your service!

Visiting India sounds exciting , but you’ll have to find the silver lining in that 24 hour flight time!
