Three unlikely sights along a Michigan woodland trail.
A pugnacious squirrel. I think he is saying: Is that all you got?
Photo Challenge: Unlikely
A rattlesnake: rare in Michigan. I have never seen one until stumbling across this (fortunately) lethargic reptile.

And this Leaning Tower of Pine, dipping in salute to the meandering Sturgeon River

🙂 I could do without the rattler, though.

He should have had one of those “Detroit against the World” t-shirts. Miniature sized, of course 🙂

I knew there was one species of rattlesnake that lived in Michigan, but this was the first time I had actually seen one. Fortunately, he didn’t move at all while I snapped this pic!
